Science QUIZ on FRIDAY!!

We’ve been learning about the scientific method for the past two weeks.  Hopefully you’ve been here and paying attention!  Friday we’re going to be having a quiz over the six steps of the scientific method.  There will be matching, multiple choice, and a couple short answers.  You’ll be getting a review sheet Wednesday to practice on, and a study guide on Thursday.

IT WON’T BE HARD…UNLESS YOU DON’T STUDY!!!

Check back here on Thursday and I’ll have a hint at what the extra credit will be.

Literature Studies Homework!

Finish creating your detailed character!  It should be a collage of descriptive phrases and pictures that help describe your character.  Remember: make it as detailed as possible!!!

LOTS OF LABS!!

We’re now studying the scientific method.  The good news is, we’ll be doing lots of labs to practice the steps of the scientific method.  Make sure you’re here for the fun!

DUE Monday!

Homework for the weekend:  In your science journal, write down at least two times you thought like a scientist over the weekend (making an observation, a prediction, an inference, creating a model, or classifying things).

Nice job on your career presentations!!  I hope you’ve found a career you like, there’s so many to choose from!

Science in the World

Now that we know we all think like scientists all the time, we’re going to take a look at some real scientists in the field.  We’re going to be checking out a science job fair to get an idea of just some of the many jobs available to people who enjoy science.  I hope a few of them appeal to you!

Safety Projects

You all did an AWESOME job on your science safety projects!  I can’t wait to put up the posters so you can see how great they look.  Give yourselves a hand!

Up next: Science occupations.  What jobs are out there for people who like science?  We’re going to find out!
