1-29-09 Get Ready to Get Messy!

We’ve got a GREAT lab coming up tomorrow.  I can’t wait!!!  Since we’re studying the states of matter, this lab demonstrates that not all things can actually be put into one specific category.  Some things have traits that are like a solid, but other traits that are like a liquid.  Wait until you get to let it ooze through  your hands!  You’re going to LOVE it!!!

1-25-09 Science Quiz This Week!

Just a heads-up!  On Wednesday, I’ll be giving a quiz on the differences between chemical & physical properties AND chemical & physical changes.  You’ll be creating your own review guide on Tuesday.  We’ll review a little on Wednesday before I give the quiz too.  Make sure you’re paying attention in class!

On a side note: you get your report cards this week!

1-18-09 END OF QUARTER!!

I hope you’re enjoying your long weekend!  Just a reminder: TUESDAY is the last day that we teachers will be taking any late work.  So make sure you’ve turned in anything that you can to ensure that you earn the best grade possible.  You won’t get report cards for another few weeks, but grades will go into the system this week.  I hope you’re happy with the effort you put into yours!!  :-)

1-13-09 Starting Chemistry

Get ready for some awesome labs!  We’re going to be starting to learn elements, atoms, compounds and molecules.  We’re going to be finding out different physical and chemical properties of matter, AND (one of my favorites!) physical and chemical changes.
