Freak The Mighty
This is my all-time favorite book that I’ve EVER read. If you’re in my Lit. Studies class, we’ll probably read it together at the end of the year. Don’t worry, you’ll LOVE it.
This story is told from the perspective of Maxwell Kane. According to him, he’s a huge, goofy-looking kid with no brains…until he meets Freak (Kevin). Freak is a tiny crippled boy, with the brain of a genius. Max and Freak are completely opposite, but perfect together. Since Freak is crippled, he rides on top of Max’s shoulders and together they call themselves “Freak the Mighty!” Join them on their quests to find burried treasure, try to rescue maidens in distress, and stear clear of Tony D, a bad-news gang member who’s out to get them.
