The Lightning Thief
I JUST finished reading this book before school started, and I couldn’t put it down! For those of you who have read the Harry Potter books and are looking for some more good reading…this is a book for you!
It is the first book in a series about a young boy named Percy Jackson. He’s a trouble-maker that has gotten kicked out of school every year for the past 6 years. This year…during summer break he learns why he has felt different from all the other kids. He is a demigod: half-human, half-god, which means that the father he’s never met is a greek god. Once he finds out which one of the gods is his father, he sets off on a quest. Can he complete the quest on time and without upsetting too many of the gods? Read and find out!
