Sorry guys, but I’m going to be out of the building tomorrow. I’ve got a conference at the Museum of Science and Industry. I hate missing school, but where do you think I come up with all of these cool experiments?!?!
You’ll be reading from the book Thursday, and we’ll review what you learned when I come back. Don’t have too much fun without me. See you Friday!
There’s a test over the Scientific Method in Science class on Tuesday! We’ll be reviewing on Monday, and you’ll be receiving a study guide to take home and review.
I’ll be handing out the study guide on Monday. I’d have posted it on here, but I’m at home and the guide is on my school computer…sorry!
Have a great weekend and I’ll see you Monday!
P.S. I’m also doing a lot of grading this weekend. I’ll be giving you a mini “progress report” so you will know where you’re at in science class (and Lit. if you’re in my class).
I hope you all are keeping up on the work!
So far in Science this week:
You had your experiment conclusions due TODAY.
Your “Egg in a Bottle” conclusion is due TOMORROW (Wednesday).
In Literature Studies this week:
You were to finish your plot chart TODAY.
Your vocabulary sheet is due TOMORROW (Wednesday).
Just a reminder: ALL late work is due on Monday in order to change your grades for progress reports. We’ll be passing the reports around on Tuesday, so make sure you’ve got everything turned in so that you get the grades you want!
So far in science you should have turned in:
Bubble Lab
Safety Symbol
Safety Magazine Ad
Safety Commercial Script
Science Job Fair Sheet
Scientist Drawing
Well, sorry I had to leave school early yesterday! I went down to get my foot x-rayed. So far they say that it’s not broken! So I have yet to break a single bone in my body (knock on wood). The x-ray technician gave me a disc with the x-ray pictures on it, so I’ll show you today in class.
Just a reminder, bring your SIGNED Science Safety Contract in to science class today or tomorrow in order to participate in Thursday’s lab!
I hope you all enjoyed the PBIS kick-off assembly today!
We teachers put a lot of time into preparing our skits and videos for you. Now you’re prepared to come in on Monday and start your REAL schedule of classes.
Don’t forget to bring in $10 for an assignment notebook as soon as you can if you haven’t purchased one yet. You’ll also be getting a SCIENCE SAFETY CONTRACT on Monday that you’re going to make sure you get signed so that you can participate in our first science lab next week.
Have a great weekend!
P.S. If you want to see a picture of me jumping off a mountain, scroll down the page!
Welcome 6A Investigators! I just wanted to clue you in on some of the things you should make sure you know and have for the beginning of the year. First of all, nice job with your uniforms! You all look great in them.
Hopefully we’ll be getting your IDs soon too, so your uniform will be complete.
Many of you have your assignment notebooks already too. If you don’t, please make sure you bring in $10 to purchase them from the office or in your P.E. class. We require these because they have our school policy in them as well as the students’ hall passes for the year; they’re very important!
Finally, there will be a few forms going home over these first couple of weeks. Please try to fill them in and return them as quickly as possible.
If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a comment and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. Thanks!
I’m so excited to meet you all tomorrow! Don’t worry, you’ll have PLENTY of time to practice your locker combinations before we expect you to know how to use them.
We’re also going to be giving you a tour of the building so you get an idea of where everything is. BUT, if you can’t remember…just ask one of us! We’ll help you, we’re really not that scary once you get to know us!
