In science class, we’re going to be starting our project for the Living Things unit. You’ll be creating your own living organism that has the 6 characteristics. You’ll also be creating a habitat for your organism that supplies the 4 needs of living things to keep it alive. We’ll learn more about it on Monday when you get the rubric.

We’ve been doing a lot of practice with converting numbers using the metric system. I hope you all are starting to get good at it! Our test is not until NEXT Tuesday (the 10th of November) so you still have time to practice. This week we’ll be doing a few labs.

Monday & Tuesday we’ll be tying all the different types of measurements we’ve learned (mass, length, and volume) to observe the difference water can make on a gummy bear.

Wednesday we’ll have Metric Mania Day!! You’ll be practicing more converting…hopefully it’ll be easy for you by then!

Thursday and Friday we’ll be conducting a lab focused on Density. Then, Monday we’ll review for the test and Tuesday we’ll take it. Then we’re off on our field trip on Wednesday!!! Can’t wait! It’s my favorite of the year.
